Inpatient and Partial Hospitalization Services
Some care recommendations may include staying at the center for a period of time to support your recovery - often known as inpatient care or partial hospitization. The following information provides you with an idea of what to expect to help you feel at ease and comfortable during treatment.
Starting Services:
Once you have enrolled in services and your paperwork is complete, you'll receive an orientation to care and have an opportunity to settle into your room. As soon as possible, you will meet with a nurse to complete a nursing assessment. This helps us get to know your care needs. You will also meet with a medical provider in the first 24 hours following your admission.
Recovery Schedule:
Having a scheduled routine is important in recovery. You will receive a treatment recovery schedule to guide your time in services. Each day you will participate in a variety of education and group therapy sessions. Other opportunities like individual counseling and fitness and leisure activities will also be offered throughout your stay.
Food & Nutrition:
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are catered by the Carle Health Proctor Hospital dietary staff. Snacks and other refreshments are also available throughout the day.
Family Involvement:
We encourage supportive family to be involved in your treatment. Educational family programming and family visitation is offered weekly. Additionally, you can make calls to your support system daily during designated times. Cell phone use is limited to support focus and healthy boundaries during your time in services.
Leisure and Fitness:
An outdoor walking track and onsite fitness center are available to help you stay active and support your recovery during services.
Items to Bring to Care: For services with an overnight stay, we encourage bringing the following items to support your time in care:
- Medication: a list of prescribed medications. You may also be asked to bring your prescribed medications.
- Clothing: comfortable, modest, weather-appropriate items that can be layered.
- Personal care: hygiene items (non-aerosol), shower shoes, laundry detergent/dryer sheets, non-scented lotion.
